Bill Warren Painting Service has implemented an Environmental and Waste Management Policy in line with ISO 14001:2007, which is aimed at reducing the out-sourcing of waste management and increasing internal recycling.
Envirowash Water Recycling System
We use the Envirowash system to recycle all of its paint wash-out into clear water, and all paint tins are recycled, along with any other waste where possible. The Envirowash system is not only great for the environment and sustainable water use practices, but it means that we wash all equipment off site protecting your property and garden from paint wash-out.
Turbinaire Solvent Disposal System
BWPS uses the Turbinaire Solvent Disposal System to recycle and reuse dirty solvents through a process of distillation. This separates contaminants from dirty solvents so that it can be re-used; reducing the disposal of used solvents by up to 90%.
Low VOC Products
BWPS uses premium low ‘VOC’ (volatile organic compound) products where necessary, which emit little or no odour and contribute positively to air quality and reduction of air pollution. This is of course a healthier way to paint anywhere, but is especially important in our Schools Program and government work.
The Dulux Envir02 range is also certified under the Australian Government’s Greenhouse Friendly™ Scheme, which ensures that greenhouse gas emissions associated with the entire life cycle of the product from production through to use and disposal are fully offset by approved Greenhouse Friendly™ abatement.
